Save money. Stop buying store-bought cleaning products and ditch your toxic cleaning supplies. Use these natural solutions instead.

From your bathroom tiles and wood floors to your refrigerator and mirrors, the ingredients for these simple recipes can be found in your pantry.

Bathroom Scrub

Combine 4 TBS baking soda with 2 TBS salt and 2 TBS soap. Wet the surface of your tub, bathroom floor or both. Sprinkle mixture and allow it to sit for 5 – 10 minutes. Using a stiff-bristled brush, scrub the surface clean. Rinse well with water.

Fridge Deodorant

Remove everything from your fridge. Combine 1 cup hot water with ½ cup white vinegar and 2 – 3 drops essential lemon oil in a medium spray bottle. Shake gently to combine. Spray the mixture inside the fridge, including the shelves and inside of any drawers. Let it sit for five minutes. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Allow it to dry completely before replacing items.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Turn off the water to your toilet. Flush toilet twice to remove water completely. Sprinkle bowl with baking powder. Allow the baking powder to sit for 5 – 10 minutes. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar in the toilet bowl, pouring down and around the bowls sides. Allow to fizz and bubble. Scrub with toilet bowl brush. Turn back on the water. Flush toilet bowl.

Floor Wash

In a large bowl or bucket, combine 1 cup white vinegar with 1 gallon warm water and 3 drops essential lemon oil. Mop floor and then allow the surface to dry.

Window and Mirror Cleaner

In a large spray bottle, combine 1 cup water with ¼ cup cider vinegar, 4 TBS rubbing alcohol and 2 drops essential lemon oil. Spray on a microfiber cloth. Use dampened cloth to wipe clean windows and mirrors.
